Meet Our Featured Speaker: Dr. Emiley Morton

Dr. Emiley Morton is a clinical social worker licensed with a doctorate in social work from the University of Southern California. She specializes in neurodivergent-affirming diagnostic assessment and systems-level approaches to expanding access to care for neurodivergent adults. In her clinical work,
Dr. Morton provides therapy that supports emotional regulation, burnout recovery, and identity exploration for neurodivergent clients, with a focus on unmasking, self-trust, and navigating relationships. She specializes in intersectional considerations for neurodivergent affirming care, including race, gender, culture, and sexuality. She is the co-founder of Reclaimed Divergence, a multidisciplinary practice designed as a haven for identity-based mental health care, supporting self-employment opportunities for neurodivergent clinicians by providing infrastructure, mentorship, and clinical consultation as they provide exceptional mental health care services to neurodivergent clients. Her own experiences navigating the mental health field as an autistic provider inform her commitment to helping other neurodivergent professionals build sustainable, values-driven careers in ways that decrease the barriers and biases often faced by neurodivergent individuals in mental health care systems. In addition to her work with Reclaimed Divergence, she continues to co-operate a behavioral health group practice she established in 2018, consults on neurodiversity-focused research projects, and offers training and supervision to social workers, therapists, and organizations across the country.
