Course Overview

Join us for an engaging two-day seminar designed to help clinicians better understand and support Millennials, Gen Z, and the emerging Gen Alpha in their relationships and sexuality. This training dives into the unique challenges and dynamics these generations face, offering practical tools and insights for modern sex-positive therapy. Through a mix of presentations, case studies, and interactive exercises, participants will leave feeling confident in adapting their approaches to meet the needs of today’s clients.

Our 2-Day intensive seminar for clinicians is happening May 2nd-3rd (10a-5p each day), packed with tools to navigate modern relationships, inclusive therapy, and new dating challenges. At the end of the training, participants will be eligible to receive 12 CEs (ISPT is an NBCC & AASECT approved CE provider). 

Day 1 Highlights
Understanding the New-Age Client: Explore generational characteristics, terminology, and the role of technology in relationships
- Technology & Relationships: Examine how AI & VR influence intimacy, fidelity, boundaries and practice boundary-setting strategies


Day 2 Highlights:
- Modern Pressures on Sex & Libido: Unpack how societal and technological pressure affects libido and sexual communication
- Couples Therapy Pitfalls: Develop awareness of personal biases and learn affirming practices for poly, queer, and neurodivergent clients

Course Objectives

  1. Identify generational differences and technological influences on relationships, integrating these insights into therapy practices
  2. Apply tools and interventions to address sexual shame, mismatched libidos, and external pressures impacting client intimacy
  3. Facilitate conversations around technology boundaries, including agreements on AI & VR use in relationships
  4. Recognize and challenge personal biases in working with polyamorous, queer, and neurodivergent clients, fostering inclusivity in therapy
These objectives meet CK-C, CK-D, CK-E, CK-F, and/or CK-K for AASECT Sex Therapy Certification requirements.
